Default Anyone have problems with Qtech?

I have sent my Qtech back two times and the thing fails a day later. I just got it back and it failed again!!! I took matters into my own hands and fixed in myself. It first was shorting out, then the motor came loose so I glued and screwed it back, now it just plain old don't work. Any suggestions? I put the flowtech on the car so my exhaust is no good. Even with the cap on there is more restriction than ever.
Any comments are appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Man I just got done putting on my qtec and I have no problems, maybe you can get QTP to give you a replacement for free since yours seems to be defective, are you sure your wiring is ok and not grounded out or possibly not grounded at all?

Sounds like a bad flutter valve. Try changing your oil then resetting your kill switch, maybe that will do the trick.

The wiring was done per their recomondations and I am an electronic engineer so there is no wiring problem.

lol...this gives me even more reason to think qtp sucks. first off forget waiting 5 months till you get your headers now bads got screwed with that cute lil invention...damn. i would return that crap and look into slp. alot of people hate and talk bout slp clearance issue but they say its not too bad and its not banging the floor board like flp expensive stuff. and plus slp header come jet hot coated now...

If the wiring is good it must be another defective unit I would think, I would ask QTP for a swap,

FWIW mine has been working very well for a few months now.

I figured out the problem! The guys at Speed Inc. installed the cut-out so the openning was too close to the floor pan, so the motor on the valve was hitting the floor pan when I hit the gass or go over bumps. So my ******* cut-out has to be cut off and re-installed!!! I told those guys I was putting on the valve. It's even on the reseipt. I hope they will take care of it.

I'm sure they will. Mistakes happen and thats why having all the parts upon initial install can help. Give 'em a chance at least. If ya get boned... let us know.

Glad you figured out the issue cause the qtec will rock once you have it working right.

I never said I was a spelling teacher, besides I spelled engineer correctly. I did, however, misspell recommendations. DOH! Barry at QTP has been very helpful and understanding. I will definately be going back to them for more parts. Also, Speed Inc. is going to fix the cut-out for me. I hope its not too bad a hack job.
