Hehe, good one but i was really talking about complete setups.
For instance, will every bolt on work without causing me to fail emmisions? Or even head and cam combinations?

With the new "dyno" smog laws... it will be very hard to pass smog with pretty much any mods. The simple mods, like a lid and exhaust are pretty much failsafe... You can likely still pass smog with a small cam, maybe the Z06 cam, or the TR220 cam. Something with a 114lsa. You will definately need tuning to keep the A/F correct. I pass a non-loaded smog test with the GM hot cam... but theres no chance of it passing a loaded test... Good luck

Is that including headers? Damn, that dosent leave much else. Maybe intake, ported TB, pulley, and of course, tuning?

JBA headers, TR220 cam, + other bolt-ons can get you to a smog legal 370-380 rwhp.

You live in California. Reap the benefits of all the corruption!

Slip a "minority-owned" shop's owner $200 come smog time and be done with it.

Not saying I'd ever do such a thing.

Well I think I'm going with a legal high performance set-up, Edelbrock headers, MAC Y-pipe, and Flowmaster, with the possibility of an electric cut-out in the future. I don't have that much money to spend on bribes

Well, I will be putting on some long-tubes and the removal and isntallation of those for every smog check will cost way more than the 200 I can pay the guy every year.

Again, not saying that I would ever do such a thing.
