Default Transmission Fluid

Is it OK to run Mobil 1 in the Transmission.? Is it better or is there another oil that is better? Please assist.

As in a synthetic transmission fluid? Mobil 1 will be ok for sure.

I prefer to run Royal Purple, it seems to stay cooler.

I hear that it's not a good idea to run synthetic fluid in transmissions... They say to run regular conventional type... There is actually a lot of reading about this matter on here... I'm seen a couple multi page threads about this one....

Over the past decade Amsoil is the best when it comes to synthetics, and Redline next.

Yup..i have Mobil 1 synthetic in my performabuilt trans. No problems at all...There's a lot of bad information about synthetic fluids in automatics...

i use the dextron 6 in mine...no problems in a built tranny
