I would hope thats what the limiter is for, to stop from doing damage to the motor.

The rev limiter is there to protect you from damaging stuff. Unless you did a mechanical over-rev then you should be fine. (IE going from the top of third gear and instead of powershifting 4th you go into 2nd gear).

You're worried about hurting your engine? If that's the case, we all need to stop going to the dragstrip, lmao. Nah man, your engine should be fine, cause you said you hit your limiter hard in 1st. and 2nd. and it's still running good, you're good to go. The 1 thing I always do after running my engine hard, is test drive it through the city n highway like if I was regularly driving it. I turn the radio off and listen to see if I hear anything or if it's running abnormal. Then when I get home, I check the oil. A lot of cars like eating a little oil when driven hard.

Nah you'll be fine. I've hit mine my fair share of times. No problems at all.

When you start making real power, and your on a street tire get used to kissing that rev limiter like its going out of style

Its there to protect you engine from over reving, so it does it job

lets say you are shifting really fast and are going to shift into 4th but slam it into 1st, then thats going to be a problem there and maybe some bent pushrods or worse

But flooring and loosing traction and bouncing off the limiter is fine, miss shift any car and it could be bad

lol its pretty much 100% IMPOSSIBLE to go to shift to 4th and accidentally hit 1st, they are in two completely different locations lol. sorry, had to say that but im sure he knows what ya mean.
