Owners in AZ come inside
Verbs, or anyone else from AZFBA, please feel free to copy this post onto the AZFBA message board for reference.
I thought that I'd post my experience with emmisions to ease people's minds. I took the car over on Saturday morning...the whole process took less than 5 minutes. See sig for mods. I'm not running CATs, and the true dual setup is the normal setup put together by Pro-Dyno...12 inch Dynomax mufflers. All of my rear O2 codes have been deleted by turning the test off (not just turning off the "set SES" option). I'm not running O2 sims either (that is obviously an easier way to pass).
Thre process went as follows: hooked up the car to the scanner, started car, downloaded diagnostic info (took about 20 sec), unplugged computer, pulled forward, paid for emmisions, recieved all paperwork and went on my way. They never looked under the car, never popped the hood, never asked about any modifications. The only two questions they asked were what engine, and cash or check.
Needless to say, I passed. Good bless OBDII!

I'll probably do simms too, just because.

Don't bother with the O2 sims...it's $100 you can spend on something else. If you're going to tune with LS1edit, just delete the rear O2s and CAT stuff while you're in there.

Re: Owners in AZ come inside
so deleting rear O2's will not cause a test failure? I had them deleted in my LT1 and it showed test not conducted...
