Rattleing over bumps
Got a 99 Camaro Z28 that has an annoying rattle when going over bumps (rail road tracks, pot holes, etc.) It is definitely coming from the right side. I just can't tell if it is coming from the front or rear. I have noticed the sound for awhile but didn't notice any problems when I just replaced my front and rear brakes.
No wheel wobble or ball joint problem that I could tell. Do these cars have a common suspension fault area? Any idea what I should look for?

Glad you found out the potential cause of the problem. I had a similar problem with rattles and creak. The rattle was being caused by my torque arm. The two bolts were still in there but the nuts had backed out and were no longer there. I replaced it with new hardware and all is now gone. I recently replaced my rear shocks with konis but I still have a creaking noise coming from the rear when I go over small bumps. I guess I have to apply some grease to some bushings or replace some.

i had a rattle as well when i went over bumps, and sometimes when it idled... id put 15k down on the table saying it was the rear end and it ended up being the heat shield on the stock exhaust. headers fixed that
