Default 4.30's in 00' T/A M6

Only mods being lid and cut-outs, If I put 4.30's what would I run? its a 00' trans am with 80k, 6-speed on stock 10 bolt. using street tires. Would it drop me a .5 atleast. I dont want to run stickys, no cash if I break stock rear. what should I expect?

Your not going to be able to put a sticky tire on there with out fear of blowing the rearend to peices. Save for a 12 bolt/9" Seriously

To answer your ???? most likely not on street tires, first gear will be useless. The street tires will not give you any where close to enough traction to get a good 60' to reduce your time .5 you may end up with a higher mph.But hey you never know it could improve you times a little and make your car a blast to drive. It would be a totally different beast than you stock gears.
