Default 9 inch or 12 bolt

soon ill be gettin a new rear end..... so which one is best
9 inch or 12 bolt? i have a z28 m6.
also my car is gunna be DD more that tracked
which are the best options as in gears, diff, etc.

Depends what kind of tires you'll be launching on. I have a Strange 12 bolt w/4:10s in my M6. Only taken to the track like twice a year. Never broke on me but howls loud as ****. A 9inch w/Detroit locker would be damn near unbreakable but eat a lil more hp and can have fitment issues. They tend to stay quieter from what I hear.

Yeah the 12 bolts are supposedly have alot of whine, 9 inch are the quietest, most reliable, and damn near unbreakable! for the money I would definatly put my money in the 9 inch, especially with a m6!

alright well ill go with the 9 inch
what gears should i get and what diffirential should i get?
its a daily driver, and sees the track once a month,
but i still do hav fun on the street
any ideas

For a 26' tall tire you want 4:10s. 27' 4:30s I believe.
