Default front calipers

i want to paint my front calipers. how do you disconnect them without disconnecting the brake line. thnaks

I just put a grocery bag over the rotor and painted with a brush. Been holdin up for 2+ years now

You can't take them completely off the car.
I just unbolted them and left the brake lines attached.
I supported them on a small upside down bucket and painted around them.

yea..thats what i meant... so you just un bolt the two bolts from the bracket? i tried that on the rear ones and they wouldnt un bolt.

yeah, just undo the two 15mm bolts and support the calipers on something so you can paint them

theres a bolt and a nut if i remember correctly. on the rear you also have the ebrake cable.

Did you unbolt the caliper, or the brackets?

The cable goes to the parking brake shoes in the back side of the rear rotors. They have nothing to do with the calipers themselves.
