Default Small Cam results with Centrifical blowers

Since alot of people ask about Cams and blowers I figured it's a good time to post this.
This is a 2002 Corvette with an ECS paxton kit at 8lbs of boost. Before #'s are 8lbs,longtubes and fuel system. After is just a 220 Cam (Our FI #1 cam) that idle's at 18 inches of vacuum, dual valve springs, same pulley setup.

This was at the same timing across the board and 11.5-1 A/F. After meth was added but timing was left the same for added safety. Just shows big Cams are not needed till big boost. This is the 5th FI car we've done with the same setup and the first one was done 2 years ago. These engine's can make 590-600rwhp and live a long life, just make sure the fuel system is more than enough.

The Cam is nice and passes emmisions no problem.Had a guy pick there car up recently and he swore the stock cam was still in there until he took it for a ride I'm installing another one of these Cams in a Vette right now.Should have it dyno'd tuesday.Made 480rwhp before,I expect 580-600rwhp again.

what are the specs on the cam?

100rwhp from a cam swap sounds nice. why would a it give that much more if on a na car, most get around a 40rwhp gain

Your hit the nail on the head. My cam is considered small also. 222/224/.581/114. Big power small cam much better than big power large cam. The cam will effect fuel mileage tremendously. With today prices everyone should set a power level first and he who hit it with the smallest cam WINS

Because an N/a car and a F/I car are two completely different animals....for lack of getting too technical for even myself.

That is actually misleading. You have to look at the midrange gains over the stock Cam. The peak is the new Cam pulling the topend.

How well do you think that cam would work with the APS Twin Turbo kit?

nice results guys

We are big on using small cams and love that near stock idle & drivability.

We recently did a 04 Vette, A4, 3.42 diff, LS6 Cam, P1 @ 9#, ET 225 72CC, LG LT's.

stock intake/TB

it was right @ 590 rwhp ...remember it's an auto and plenty power for a stock short.

The car looks, drives and sounds stock besides the little noise from the P1.

With twin Turbo's I run reverse splits most of the time.I'd have to see the full specs first.

forcd ind, I'll send you some pics & the measurements.

Oh, and get the new stage 2 ECS ProCharger bracket!!!
I have now seen the new ProCharger Stage 2 Corvette bracket in person, and it was still no comparison to the original ECS bracket. ECS just released a new ProCharger bracket w/ redesigned tensioner setup that allows for 15minute belt swaps like their current Corvette Paxton Novi kits. The bracket was designed to accommodate the large ProCharger head units as well, F1 and F2 series blowers, so you have room to upgrade down the road without changing brackets.

And yes, the P1SC and D1SC dimensions are exactly the same. When I upgrade to a D1SC ProCharger will simply change the internals of my head unit.

PICS/MEASUREMENTS SENT.

sorry cleared out the clutter.

Back to the topic at hand...

Obviously you probably don't want to go giving away your secret recipe, but if I buy this cam from you sometime this winter would you be willing to give the specs to my installer/tuner? I like the results you're getting from a small cam in the 220s.

Also, any guestimates on what kind of power I could see? I don't have longtubes, I have B&B shorties and offroad pipes. My P1SC has a 4.10 pulley.

thats why I picked up my GT2-3 cam for my procharger setup. Anybody else ever ran this cam in a stock internal low-boost D1 car?

The complete Cam card comes with the Cam. I ask my customer's not to give out the full specs and so far they have been nice.I just try to keep them hiden as long as possible because when you realese the #'s you see a bunch of people copy it. Has happened a few times to myself and alot to other venders that take time to find the right Cams for certain setup's.

BTW- I'm doing the same exact setup as yours ex. it's a M6 Vette right now.8lbs of boost, made 480rwhp before the Cam.Will have results by mid week.
