Racer's Lounge - "all show no go"

So I pull up to the local auto store and see some highschoolers (or thereabouts) outside. I had the cutout open so the car was camming and obnoxious. I park it, and start to walk in. As I am walking I look at them. Three of them over the open hood of an A6 or something. I see the one doing a hand gester of "so so" to his buddy. Then I hear him say "all show no go". I kinda smiled at them and shook my head as I walked away.

I figured since the hood was up that they would still be there when I came back out so I could have a little talk with them. When I come out 5 mins later- GONE! grrr. I shoulda turned around right there and asked him to back his words up. Probably an import fan boi.

Moral of the story- always confront the person before it's too late :(.

Then come to find out they weren't even talking about you.. Or they don't care.

If they aren't informed you don't need to be the messenger.

They got scared.

Hahaha, i've busted out with, "Oh yeah you sure about that? Wanna place a lil wager on it?" before. It actually caught the guy off guard and he didn't know what to say in front of his chick.

Another time, My GF overheard the bus boys on break in the lot, from Olive Garden saying how he raced my car and beat it, yada, yada, yada. So she tells me as we are going in. We eat have a nice meal, then on the way out, I said to one of them, "So which one of you have i lost to before? If you wanna do it again we can go for a lil cash." They were so dumbfounded it was freakin hilarious!! Then they all (3) started pointing fingers at each other. The female waitress just started laughing at them and calling then idiots.

When I had the procharger on my 1970 I parked next to some punks looking at a riced ecplise. They asked me if my car was 'hot'. I said $500 to find out. When I came back out they said they wouldn't race for money....
