High-mileage 10-bolt dangers?
I have a 94 Camaro with a hair over 150,000 miles on it now. It's an A4 car with the stock rear-end and transmission and 3.23's from the factory. I am wondering about how long the rear-end should last as long as I keep it maintained properly. The car will rarely see 1/4 mile use, but more of a cruiser and curve runner. Any input on this?

Can a bad diff cause M6 Damage?
I am working on 240,000 miles on my stock 10 bolt. Can a bad rear diff damage an M6 transmission? I 've had difficulty shifting gears in the past and had to get a new transmission recently. The dealer says that I have a bad rear differential and I'm wondering if this is what damaged my transmission. I don't want to drive too long w/o replacing if it will damage my new transmission. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

well my 10 bolt is an 8.2 inch so it is a little different but after 40+ years it gave up this weekend when I let my kid use the car. A nine inch with a locker and 4.11 gears is on the way. But no it is not likely the rear end hurt your transmission unless it locked up on you.
