Street Racing & Kill Stories - Raced a Jeep SRT8

ran him on the freeway, started in 3rd gear, he got the jump, ran out 3rd gear, hit fourth and began pulling/passing, shut it down near the top of 4th with me pulling.

Now heres the kicker, i get out to talk to him, and he has a FULL CAR. And claims he only had intake exhaust. Yeah freakin right. I have a bolton LS1 with 100 shot making 436 hp 460tq in a 00 stripper.

What do you guys make of this? Im saying he had to have had nitrous.

Those things are ridiculously quick for their size. Did you spray him? If not, I believe the outcome.....plus he got the jump. Anything can happen on the street. Thank goodness it wasn't a dig race. You'd have seen a lot of tailights. Good kill.

Yeah, he had to be. He raced a C6 with full boltons and the c6 barely won, The c6 usually runs 150 shot but im not sure if he was squeezing or not.

well he definitly had FI. They have 425hp and are AWD so from a dig they are a beast! but they are Extremly heavy, and are not as good up top as an ls1 or there other SRT-8 counterparts due to the fact they are shaped like bricks! The 6.1 Hemi handles nitrous very well and there are quite a few Superchargers out for them...did you hear any kind of whine? or spool?

May have been the Hennessy Jeep Srt-8....those are nasty....and having driven a stock jeep srt-8 that one had a fair amount of mods to keep up with you like that...

He weighs 5000lbs and if you weigh roughly 3400 then he would need atleast 600whp to hang with you, and thats not counting the shitty aerodynamics they have. He was most likely fi or n20 with 650+whp, he may bs you otherwise but math doesnt lie.

No doubt he lied. I didnt hear a spool, that thing was loud as hell, im going to guess nitrous. Would probably need a 200 shot. I think i need to up the jet to 150 and get a tune. I just lost to a 99 cobra with a big ol supercharger =[

what was your bottle pressure at, you sure it was open? i know it might seems supid but you never know

check that, its limited to 155, and it weighs 4800 lbs...

He was definitely not stock. They are beasts out of the hole, but nothing to brag about on the roll. I can hang w/ them in my TBSS on the roll, actually take them. But from a stop, forget about it. They have at least 3 cars on me by the time I get out of first....

hes full of it. i have a head and cam c5 making 417rwhp (less than you), and raced one from a dig, he got me off the line but by 45 i blew past him and put lenghts on him to 120. they are monsters off the line, but from a roll, full car he must have been spraying, it just doesnt add up

He lied, plain and simple. I have a tune, CAI and exhaust Trailblazer SS and can pull stock GCSRT8s (very slow pull, maybe 1/2 - 1 car by 100-110mph).

Anyways, my point is that my bolt-on Camaro will easily pull my TBSS.

With your mods, you are probably trapping close to 120mph. For a GCSRT8 to do that, he would have to have well over 600hp.

bottle pressure was at 900psi it was definately open. Open bottle vs closed bottle is night and day. I dont understand how that thing was so quick, atleast I won though. I'd be dissapointed if my first loss on the bottle was to a jeep.

They can be fast for how big they are. We have a couple running around here with nitrous that roll out pretty hard. Where are you at?
