Default Pre-seafoam fuel economy was 17.8 mpg

I was thoroughly disappointed. Should it jump back up? I gunned it just a handful of times the last tank. I do about half city/highway driving.

I'll have the post-seafoam numbers when I fill up next time, which should be in a week or so, hopefully.

I used the trip meter to determine how many miles I went before I filled up again.

17.8 is about right. I have the same setup, even the same year. I'd be surprised if mileage increases significantly from the seafoam. I've used it and it did jack squat for increasing mileage. It's a good cleaner though.

I am getting 20-22 mpg running rich after my header install. That would suck to get around 17 mpg.

Since you just bought the car I would change out the plugs and fuel filter. You never know when the previous owner did those things.

I can get 300 mi to the tank mostly hwy.... I think the most ive gone was 330 mi... comes out to about 22 mpg....
So not bad, but its strange how some LS1s only get around 18-20mpg while others are getting near 30mpg

Going from stock manifolds and 2.73's to headers, 3.42's and no tune helped my mileage I was getting 22 mpg, I usually get 21.5. I haven't driven my car in over 2 weeks, though. Going through withdraw That's with a city/highway mix.

the 98 tank is also a little smaller than the rest of the newer f-bodies. So you may actually be gettign better gas mileage and not know it.
