Default carbon shaft and ligther flywheel,

i am currently running the ls7 flywheel, that is heavyer than stock, and i am also running a steel shaft, in a 3.42 M6 car,

i am goin to buy a brand new 9" mooser for the summer, w/ 4,11

i saw a carbon fiber shaft on ls1speed, and was kinda interested how my car would feel like w/ 9" 4,11, carbon shaft, and some ligth flywheel "fidanza"

would it be to ligth? or should it just help me in the 60f'

You won't notice the difference with a carbon fiber driveshaft...its mass is too close to the axis of rotation. The lightweight flywheel was a nice addition to my car, but it can be a bit of a pain to drive around in stop and go traffic. Do some research...this topic has been covered MANY times.

What is the weight difference between your drive shafts?

I have the LS7 clutch with the fidanza aluminum flywheel and I love the setup. I drive a mix of city / highway driving and it is great for both. The LS7 clutch is inheritently heavier than a LS1/LS6 counterpart, so having the lightweight flywheel basically cancels out this added weight. I did not notice any less weight switching to this setup from my ram clutch / stock steel LS1 flywheel. I wish I would have weighed them to see the difference, but The car does not seem to rev up any faster or easier than it did before. As far as drivability.. I think its as close to stock as you can get…

The carbon fiber driveshaft might make your drivetrain feel smoother though, due to the anti-vibration "damping" qualities of the material (given that it is balanced correctly).
