Purchased LS7 clutch...
I'm debating whether I'm retarded or not... feel free to help me decide.
I purchased this on e-bay:
LS7 Clutch kit
I based my decision on the fact that a brand new Z06 probably wasn't beat on in the first 2500 miles.
Will an LS7 flywheel work on my car(i believe they are lighter than the LS2 correct?) if it doesn't work I have a source to get LS2 flywheels cheap.
Questions:
1. Am I retarded
2. Do I need a shim for a 99 Trans am?
3. How do you tell what is a better designed slave cylinder?(basically what is not a 98-99 model)
Thanks ahead of time,
Gary

If what you bought is right when you recieve it, it should work.
I'm running the LS7 cluthc kit with the LS2 flywheel. Some people bitch about the extra weight but it isn't that bad. The only slaves sold now are the new model if you buy it brand new. And no extra work should be involved on the install. It should install exactly like a stock replacement if you got the right parts.
