24yrs old and....

I have a 2003 Z06 with 20k miles MINT.... Bought it cash for 30k about 6 months ago, prior to that I had an 2001 Acura CL Type S, then a 2001 WS6 T/a, then a 98 WS6 t/w , then a 92 toyota tacoma, and then a bike....

People give me shit all the time... I am tired of hearing "nice that daddy let you take the car out" I just say f*&% you dont be jealous....

People dont understand that you can be young and make a lot of money. I was making 120k a year when I was 19.... I am 24 now and make 150-160k a year. I like having a nice car, I have an investment portfolio, a house with equity, and of course a nice vette.... Puttin the CAM in this week all thanks to a Overseal Alum company ACH which I bought at 21$ a share 2-3 months ago and is now over $80 a share....

<----24

The only people who make those kinds if remarks are the losers who partied/drank/slacked off too much and can't or couldn't afford a nice car while they were youthful, so pay the remarks no attention. It's a self defense mechanism. Rather than have to admit their faults, people like to make excuses as to why others have things, "daddy bought it" or "rich punk." Just like liberals use terms like "filthy rich" because it implies wealthy people cheated and so liberals then don't have to admit that they simply aren't bright or didn't work as hard as the "filthy" rich people.

Get the car, you won't regret it! :chug:

24 and bought my 99vette this year after driving my 96z for 3 years. Just today I had the vette at work and a customer asked the other guy if that was his car becasuse the other guy is 37. When the other guy told him it was mine the customer said oh did mommy and daddy by it? I would have got mad but I look at it this way hes 40 and drives a blah blah everyday car and I get to drive a vette. The other guy at my work even said "he works full time 40hrs a week and does sidejobs on the weekend, so he can spend it however he wants."

you work hard you have to play hard:D

I'm 23 years old and having way to much fun to notice what anybody else thinks of my toys. No matter how old you are, there will always be haters. Although, it seems most people are more interested with the cars than the age, which is the way it should be.

I am 22 and have had my vette for about 6 months, you can see just 2 of my previous cars in my sig, before them was a vortech'd 96 cobra w/ 20k miles @ 18 yrs old, 240sx with SR swap and my first turbo civic while in high school. BTW I am also married with a 1 year old son and just moved into my second house, wouldn't trade that for anything but I must say if my status was still single I would definately have a C6 Z06:devil: I have worked full time ever since graduating high school and it has paid off seeing as I have had/have the title in hand to every car + all the daily drivers that I didn't list up! It's all about being smart with your money because most of you guys probably couldn't survive off of my salary!

I'm 22 and I have a 9 year old Corvette. Big fuckin deal. I own the car because I like it, fuck what other people think. No one gives me shit about the car anyway. It doesn't get mistaken for my fathers car since it's loud as fuck and I drive it around on the CCW drag pack most times anyway. The C5 is my street car, the Camaro is basicly a race car with air conditioning. I drive my Dodge diesel pick up more often than the other two combined.

21 here and I just picked up my 2002 Z06 a week ago. Had a 2000 WS6 for a couple years before that. I just work a ton and know what I want. Isn't that hard if cars are one of your top priority. Thinking about getting a custom plate for the Z06...something like "NotDadz"...or something along those lines.

Haven't had many comments about my car and age. Everyone around knows how I am with my cars. I get more comments like...."why would you waste your money on that?" Those get old. If you aren't a car person, you will just never understand.

bought my vette last year for my 28th birthday, a nice present for myself. Silver 02 Z06 with 6200 miles on her. Always wanted a vette since my dad has a 69 corvette convertable. Never thought I would ever be able to get one. I love this car and wouldn't trade it for anything, well except a silver C6Z06. I never gotten any crappy comments from anyone. Always had the older guys/ older women come up and talk to me about the car. The best is when they ask you if it is a Z06, I say proudly "Why Yes it is". I will have to say, women love these cars.

seems like the people I have met that their mommy and daddy bought there cars for them were always cocky has hell. Although I really doubt lots of those guys come on here, lol they probably don't even know what a piston means. Weird that lots of C6 drivers seem cocky, not all but I give them the vette wave and they never give one back. Why I have no idea. I had asked on the corvette forum why and all I got were stupid ass comments.

I really don't care if people have something crappy to say to me, I just laugh at them and I am proud of myself for having this car. Seems like everyone here that has posted is very proud that they have a vette.

yea i agree 100% i hate when i give a vette wave and i get on wave back!!! i wouldn't say that all C6 drivers are cocky because im about to buy one lol! the thing you have to remember about the people who's mommy and dady bought there cars don't respect the car as much as someone who works everyday for the car and works overtime so that the can get the cam they want to the blower.... they normally aren't the guys putting 20 hours in the gargde to install headers and X pipe or whatever they have someone do it... but there is some installs i would rather not do myself though.... i love my vette and i will always have one.. and i don't care what people think because i've almost got the care i want and they don't... i'm proud to be 20 with a vette that just shows that i know what to do with money and my credit is better than some 50 year old people but im glad that everyone one on this post loves there cars!!!!!!

I am 27 and own 2 vettes and a camaro:

73 Vette: Dad bought for $1500 with frozen motor. Swaped in a 71 350 and went autocrossing in 1994. I was given the vette as a graduation gift in 2003. Mods include heavy duty fiberglass rear spring, hooker sidepipes and a lot of weight reduction. Planning on taking the body off and repairing frame and doing other work this winter. Race NCCC 2D class.
http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w166/vettehardt/My%2073%20Vette/DSCN0050.jpg

76 Vette: My weekend cruiser. Bought in september 2006 for $5000. Also a 2D classed car. Has 80 style bumpers on it.http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w166/vettehardt/My%2076%20Vette/DSCN0215.jpg

98 Z28 Camaro: Bought as a daily driver in january of 2006. Paid $10,500 for it. Have put on a lid, K&N Filter, RPM strut tower brace, and 17x9.5 chrome Z06 wheels. Have hit 2 deer whith this car. No major damage, jsut a crunched hood and cracked front bumper cover.http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w166/vettehardt/My%2098%20Z28/NewWheel4.jpg

I worked very hard to get the car and it was worth every bit of it. You can check out pics here... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1837052
