Default Two questions

I have a 2000 Z28 with a stock 4l60e auto tranny.. The car has about 85k miles and I managed to break the tailhousing.

Is it beneficial to now run synthetic atf fluid over conventional? Will it prolong the life of my tranny at this point?

Second, I am thinking about installing a converter.. My mods are listed in my sig - what stall do y'all recommend?

I can't see any benefit in running synthetic fluid, but it can't hurt.

I would think that a converter that stalled somewhere around 2800-3200 would be ideal for your current combination.

Yeah Gil been busy today! Good guy in my book. I would probably stick with regular DEXRON III. I do not think fancy oils are really worth it. Also I do not recommend mixing oils, not a good idea. Vince
