Photo is kind of small, make sure the bushing is on the shaft for the bump stop on the shock. then you put the spring in and attach the top then mount the factory bracket over the top of that, I have HAL's but I am pretty sure it is the same thing.

Yes I had to slot the holes in the bottom of the shock about an 1/8 inch in both holes. I used a die grinder and dressed a mounted grinding wheel down to just fit in the hole. It sucked but didn't have time to send back or anything. I read on here a while ago someone with the same problem before I got mine. All has worked out fine. Shocks work great. !!!!!!!!!!!Good luck!!!!!!!!!

I use the strange shocks and when I was using the regular coil over springs I had them installed like you do in your pics. I eventually switched from 275s to 300s and just bought the QA1 'generation F' springs that fit like stock on top and are coil over diameter on the shock side.
I originally had 275lb springs on mine (around 3400lb raceweight) and even with the shocks at '10' it was a wallowing mess, especially trying to stop at 150mph so I went with 300s and it really helped with the bottoming out and adjusting the shocks actually does something now at the track.
