What is a good looking deck for a Pontiac?
I am looking at upgrading my stereo in the Formula, but I can not stand the blue look of all the decks out now. I want something that will match the orange/red of the Pontiac.
I have been looking at JVC, since they can alter the color, and also a Clarion, that has white text and buttons. I plan on getting an HU Mount for it.
I have also been considering one of the small screen DVD decks.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or pictures of there set ups lit up?
Thanks.

I know you said you hate the "blue look" of all the decks now, but just figured I'd throw in my install (it's a pioneer premiere).
imho, the blue works well with the red lights. But ya, if your wanting to stick with JVC or Clarion, Clarion all the way. the one thing i don't understand - blue lighting costs more to make then red lighting... so why does EVERYBODY use blue? maybe to calm people down since blue is a calmer color? lol

I really do not care about the brand. I want quality sound that looks like it belongs there in the dash.
As for the quality of Clarion I had one a few years ago in another car and loved it, but while I have been looking it looks like most of their units are blue too. I may need to go to a shop that caries them and see what they can tell me.

Thanks for the input guys.
I really like the Eclipse you pointed out Kee Audio. Do you carry these? I noticed some reasonable prices on Ebay for them.
The funny part about the HU Mount is I have never seen one and they are made about 20 minutes from where I live.

Which model Eclipse specifically are you interested in Rampant?
I know what you mean CETA...I have one that sticks out some I carry but not like that far out. It also has a small storage area underneith it for disc's. Here's a pic of it in my T/A.
Oh yea...01Formula T/A...my JVC does just fine and has a ton of nice features. I would hardly call it garbage. JVC's EXAD series units are very nice. My next purchase would be an Eclipse though just because I haven't had one yet. I do agree though that Clarion makes a great sounding deck. I've had 2 in my car before and liked them very well. I am not however enthused about the new ones with the control **** in the center of the deck. I think they've made them kind of ugly...I'm sure they still sound great though!! The Clarion DXZ-665mp and the DXZ-765mp I like alot as well!!

I have an Eclipse CD3000 and I love it. They discontinued it a little while ago though so it may be hard to find if you want this exact model. The colors go great with the car IMO.
I have since fixed the light in the HuMount, just don't haven't any pictures.

They have replaced everything from the 3000- up with the 3100, 5100, and 7100.
I have a cd4000 and a cd1000, and I must say that no radios can really compare to the quality of eclipse radios.
I would have to say good radios to go with would be ALpine, Eclipse, Pioneer premiere, and maybe even Mccintosh (sp) if you wanna pay to play.
