11's capable with a 112MPH trap?
Whats up guys,
I have been running shitty times at the track during the summer wtih street tires. Constantly cutting 2.2-2.3 60' times. I recently got drag radials, and wonder what my time would be with an amazing hook on these new tires?
11.90's possible?

an old-time formula to see how quick an ET could be, based-on MPH is -
1320 div/by MPH = ET
1320 div/by 112 = 11.78

what times are u running now with ur 2.2 60's for every tenth taken from ur 60ft is 2 tenths at the top end. so figure out ruffly what u could run with good tires and 60ft times. if ur still on 17's i'd run M/T's radial better than nittos i think i cut a 1.79 for a best on 275/17 on nitto drags. but i have to much power for them

My Nova has gone 11.96 at 111 mph with a 1.62 60 foot time, and I know the aerodynamics of a late-model F-body is much better than my box of a car As mentioned above, efficient driveline and a good hook down low are needed to make it happen.

alright guys, i ran a 13.0 @ 112mph on street tires, with a 2.3 60 ft. I also have 4.10 gears with a t56 trans, and the interior was semi stripped. I could not launch good for the life of me, I would always just hook, then break loose the tires.

you can do it, i damn near got it last night. i didnt have my skinnies on and i couldve had my 60' down a lil better. reason being for my 111mph trap was because 3-4 synchros are shot and it ate up so much time and mph having to babythe 3-4 shift.. i wouldve trapped higher than that if i had a good trans. this was on stock internals, not spraying also. i was on 275 50 15 m/t street radials. best tires ive ever had!

Sure, I'm pulling 12.07 @ 111 (1.58 60ft) at the moment with a stalled A4 H/C LT1 on DRs.
Getting a good launch is important, sticky tires and some suspension upgrades.
I was only pulling 12.3 @ 109 before I did the QA1s. (1.70 60ft)
Weight reduction is going to be a big deal too.
My car is a pig with minimal weight removed. (not to mention a 275lbs driver)
If you are willing to part with a few non-essential items, you will be a few tenths ahead.

Hmmm, I find this interesting. My car's been running 12 teens at almost 113 mph with a 1.7something 60'. I wonder if the 2-3 shift banging the limiter is keeping me from that 11 second timeslip? I'll have to wait till next year to find out though.

(Hope this isn't OT as car doesn't have an LS1 _yet_, but I've bought one and hopefully this winter I might get it fitted.)
I have been running regular 12.2, 12.3 with 115 terminal. When the track was good I cut a 1.67 60ft and managed an 11.93 @ 114.7.
Car has 3.9 litre engine with 5 speed manual box and 2 stages of nitrous. Home made everything and 275/50x15 Hoosier Quicktimes.
