Drag Racing Charging System

Can anyone tell me if there is a different type of charging system used in a 8.50 sec ls1 drag car? if so, what is in this system?

Alternator and battery with a kill switch, or two batteries and no alternator with a kill switch.

You'll usually find that there isn't an alternator, and it will be either 16 or 24 volt

16 volt with no alternator here.
