Default n00b q about dual 3inch exhaust out the back ....

I'm looking into getting a 98 WS6. A friend of mine has the TSP xpipe with bullet muffs anda turndowns before the axle.....I'ma firm believer in x-pipes and full dual exhaust...

So basically does anyone sell and exhaust the continues the x-pipe system over the axle in 3-inch? (a search yielded no results)

Ya the pipes might be a bit large for stock..but I would be using that size pipe before very long.....so i'd want to do it once..and be ready for when heads and cam and maybe more comes into the picture...

I believe you'll have to have a exhaust shop custom fab it to go over the axle,i could be wrong.

Hmm... Isn't the texas speed true dual setup over the axle-able?

I would definitely check that out. Otherwise it doesn't cost THAT much more to get a true dual setup fabricated. Check your regional section of the forums to find a good f-body exhaust shop.

Nothing wrong with 3 inch btw, even though I think 2.5 is plenty

but with that in mind... does anyone make 2.5 inch over the axle setups?

dude, any competent exhaust shop can do it. Don't be looking for premade kits, cuz their aren't any really, and if there is still one or 2 companies selling them, chances are you will pay about 5 times too much and still have to modify them.

BMR makes an upper panhard bar to help clear pipes over the right side of the axle. So look into that.

There is also the option of going under the axle. Seen a few in person with 3" and they never scraped once, even with their cars lowered.

1 muffler isn't really a true dual system. Duals implies 2 mufflers.

but u get half credit for that one.....

duals do not imply any mufflers. you get no credit.

the bassani has two inlet/outlet straight through. think of it as two mufflers inside one casing.

the bassani kit is expensive and only cat-back if i remember right. The tsp true dual kit and headers can be had for around the same price and then eventually ran out the back for a little bit extra at a shop.
