Reverse rotation Procharger?

Reverse rotation Procharger?
My father has a p1 nib from an unused set-up, and i would like to buy the head unit off of him. Now i have heard something about f-bodies kits needing a reverse rotation procharger because they are mounted on the bottom right instead of at the top. Is this true? or are the all the same just rotated to a new position for the f-body?

You can reclock the ProCharger to rotate the unit around to where the outlet is where you need it to be. Doing this does not change where the oil pump mechanism is located in the unit. Bob

The best way is to know what it came off of, or just buy a new one, as you're taking your chances on a precision part from Ebay. There's a lot of scammers on there. Bob

well the issue I have is that I have a 3.8l fbody, not the ls1 or lt1. So a kit would not work for me, at least the mounting bracket and such. There is a person that custom made a bracket for her car and it is running some nice numbers. So I am just looking for options or to make my own kit because the only procharger kit available for our 3.8l cars is like 4500 dollars from MACH performance in MI.
I feel it can be made for less if you ask me or offered for less at least with a used or rebuilt unit and not a new one. And they are not using the d1sc headunit either on that kit

you can get the serial # off the unit, and call procharger, they can tell you what rotation it is-(i have a vette setup, i'll look at the serial # and see if it says anything about rotation) if your mocking up a self contained unit(sc) the drain plug has to be pointing to 6 o'clock for the oil slinger to work correctly

This guide should help you out. Give me a call at 260 244-4808 for a price on a new head unit. If you buy a new head unit and just the main bracket assembly, then piece the rest of the kit together with used parts, you have the potential to save some money for your V6. Bob
