FTRA GUYS IN HERE ASAP!!!! IM INSTALLING MY FTRA AND I WAS WONDERING IF THAT PLASTIC-CENTER PIECE WHERE THE FILTER SEATS! CAN I CUT THEM OFF OR DO I HAVE TO LEAVE IT IN?

Re: FTRA GUYS IN HERE ASAP!!!! plastic center peice, I'm trying to figure out what your talking about, do you mean the plastic tray, if so yeah you do have to cut it so that you maximise the air contact patch.

I cut my entire center plastic ridge out, the filter still gets supported enough by the edge all the way around.
