Default FTRA GUYS IN HERE ASAP!!!!

IM INSTALLING MY FTRA AND I WAS WONDERING IF THAT PLASTIC-CENTER PIECE WHERE THE FILTER SEATS! CAN I CUT THEM OFF OR DO I HAVE TO LEAVE IT IN?

plastic center peice, I'm trying to figure out what your talking about, do you mean the plastic tray, if so yeah you do have to cut it so that you maximise the air contact patch.

Yea like Mike said. If your talking about the bottom of the airbox then yes it needs to be cut out. I believe it showed where you need to cut in the directions but its been a long time since i installed mine.

I believe he's talking about the ridge that sticks up vertical AFTER you cut out the bottom. Basically I left mine in and the filter just 'rests' on it.

I cut my entire center plastic ridge out, the filter still gets supported enough by the edge all the way around.

The instructions say to leave it in. Couldnt hurt to cut it though.
