If you don't like to refer to your car as a FIREBIRD then you are in DENIAL.
Sounds like this guy has not owned a "Trans Am" before...
This statement is not true. In the 60s when these cars came out. The firebird and trans am were 2 completely different cars. Today, although it may be a package, when someone asks me what car I have, I can't just say its a, "American car", "GM", or "its a "Pontiac", or even a "firebird"! You have to be more specific, I have a Trans Am WS6, so I say it. If it was a Firehawk, I would say so. Why because they're not the same. When not specifying, you are implying that the car is just a firebird, not a formula, not a TA, not a WS6, and not a firehawk.
Don't be a moron man! There is a big difference.
BTW, My title say "TRANS AM", and so does for proof of insurance. S G F Y!

to the guy above its a Firebird Trans-Am Get over it!! I too, own a Trans-Am WS6 and have for 5 years its still a Firebird. And as far as the totally different car, hardly, they made some styling changes in the 69 T/A compared to the Firebird that year, just like every year later. You just got a loaded Firebird. Thats like someone arguing that they have a Cobalt SS not just a Cobalt LS. Still a Cobalt. Cobra is still a Mustang, Lightning was a F-150, del Sol was still a Civic(Honda even counted del Sols in the Civic count for a few years, till they dropped the Civic name and just called a del Sol)
And my insurance card actully lists it as a Formula. My rpo's show it to be a Firebird/Trans-Am/WS6
As far as info on the CTS-V, theres a forum devoted to it.

Good luck and welcome to the darkside.

How the hell did this thread turn into a Firebird definition arguement? Becuase of a quote in some guy's sig?
Get over it people, a Trans Am is still a Firebird. If you don't like that, too bad.
Locked due to getting WAY too off track.
