Default Instant Tube Fittings

I was over @ the local dyno shop and saw some pretty neat fittings. They came from McMaster Carr and basically would replace all of your barb'd brass fittings and any NPT ports. They are a push-lock style design using a special hose. The hose is inserted into the fitting just like a rubber hose inserted over a hose barb and the hose locks into place. There is a ring on the outside that will release the hose. It looks like a great alternative to hose barb/rubber hose.

I use those on alot of my turbo stuff. They are used for air brakes on trucks and all sorts of industrial applications.

They also use the same thing on refrigerator ice makers

Fittings are pretty tough, I use them on my trans overflow/catch can and I'm surprised they have held up. I'm not sure what kind of heat its rated for though.
