Drag Racing Tech - New Best!! Two of em actually!
Hey guys (and gals),
Just thought I would post up (so people wouldn't think I've totally fallen off the face of the earth!). I've had 2 new best of a different sort. Me and my fiance tied the knot a couple weeks ago, and we also just found out that she is expecting, and we should bring another racing nut (3rd generation to be exact) into this world in early '04. We couldn't be happier. Things are crazy with all that is going on, and I can't thank Vette (my Dad), and Brian "Madman" for keeping on top of the racecar for me.
Drag racing content:
The car is coming along very nicely.. the new tranny is complete and is a work of art...and should be more than enuff for anything we can throw at it. The new motor is almost complete as well, and I think it is going to be a badass. The builder, who is a S.A.M. grad, has done a sweet job with the motor. Things will likely slow a little for us..since now I have to turn more attention to family stuff. But the goal is to be ready for THUNDER, and ready to run in the top class.
No earth shattering wheelstand this year. Plain and simple, no fluff...our goal is to show up, make the runs, take home a win, and a record! Who else wants to play?
c ya'll at the track!

Mikey is finalizing the short block today. The heads will be on tomorrow. I'm getting the intake tomorrow so I can plumb the Fogger. Hopefully we will be putting the motor in first of next week.

Congrats Larry on the wedding and the little one on the way..Tell your dad to save me a place next to him in the stands at the Thunder event..I had a great time BS'ing with him last year...I'm going to run in 2 classes this year since the car is finally legal to run anywhere but I'm also going to be doing quite a bit of spectating !!

Congrats to ya Larry. It's good to see you are still in the race mode. You can easily balance family and racing. As Coach once said......." A family that races together, stays together. Those were words well spoken.
Sheila and I started racing in 1983, shortly after we met when she was only 14. (scary huh?) and we have been racing in some fashion ever since. Of course you have to take a break every now and then. We couldn't find a doctor that would deliver a baby at the track so we took two breaks.LOL.
Good luck to you and the Mrs.
