Depends on if you have a LS2 or LS3 based C6. The 08s( LS3 based ) are putting down great power with just a CAI and headers. One made 441 rwhp / 429 rwtq with LG headers and a K&N CAI. Totally impressive. That is close to stock 05-07 ZO6 numbers at a fraction of the price.

Me too SixPak but they I got thinking. Why spend $50,000 on an '08 LS3 C6 when in about a year I can spend about the same amount for a '06 C6 Z06. Sure the '08 will be new but Corvette owners gererally take very good care of their cars. I think I'm just going to hold out for a Z06 with 15,000 miles on it.

You can pick up a base 08 for 40k.
I don't think I would be happy witht he base C6 though. The cheapest I found for the one I want was $47,900. You're right though...you can get a base model for just over $40k.
