Hey slayer, why don't we work to assess the issue before posting vague and assumption based statements. You have emailed me...I am working with you to understand the situation and assess the problem...that is all I can do until I see what is happening.
If you can shift gears, which you indicate that you can via email. And, if the sound is RPM related but not present all the time it could be other things. You also indicated to me that it wasn't actually slipping. That being said lets make sure we are working from the same story. I have no problem helping you but your post is a little premature don't you think. Just my .02...I will keep working with you to figure this out. You can call me if you like to discuss it further. Thanks!

Great insight 5w...this is where we are at for those that are interested. There is a noise between 1500 and 2000 RPM and that noise is accompanied with a loss of power. The RPM's do not jump which eliminated slippage from the equation. The car shifts fine, there is no problem moving from one gear to another. All this being said, my thoughts are as follows: this could be a sensor related issue (Cam sensor, crank sensor, maybe a spark issue). Something is cutting power in this RPM range and making a noise in the process. It is always hard to describe a noise over the phone or internet so maybe a sound byte can be provided. At any rate...I am interested in seeing what Slayer finds.
