Default LT1 Forced Induction Gasket?

so if im using my stock heads, ive heard you can replace the gasket to get a little less compression and add a little more psi to add more power. My goal is a 1 bar boost or 14.7 psi. Can i get that if i use these thicker gaskets? Who makes these gaskets? Who sells these gaskets? Whats the maximum boost recommended on these gaskets paired with my stock heads? 14.7 psi doubles power right? Is that at all attainable with stock heads and internals? Are there any other tricks you can do to a stock set up for more boost?

Lots of guys have good luck with the 1074 gaskets and it's what I am running, but they are .039 thick. On stock internals I wouldn't push more than 8psi depending on which turbo you run, no way you'll get 1 bar without hurting it quickly!

Man You Need To Get Some Cometic Head Gaskets. I Would Not Use A 1 Bar Map Sensor Thats Really Dangerous When You Are Trying To Run That Amount Of Boost.

^ yea not even 12 hours of research if figured a few things out. The guy whos building my hot parts says 6psi is plenty for my goal of 500rwhp. Later when i rebuild the internals ill go with more. Ebay has Cometic .40 thickness, are these what i need?

these are thicker than stock? Using these how much boost is safe? 8 psi you say? Is that with or without these? thanks guys

I went Cometic for future boost. Custom ordred .076 thick to go from 10.4 to 9.6(if I recall correctly) compression. Put cometics on, they leaked water on one side and oil on the other. Drove for awhile like this and then heard of the copper spray. Pulled the heads cleaned everything up sprayed the cometics. Then it leaked oil on the side that used to leak water and water on the side that used to leak oil. Pulled them off and installed Felpro 1074, no problems except 10.4:1. I'm sure cometics are fantastic gaskets but you have to have the deck and heads a certain Ra Or smoothness to seal properly which I did not. Just my two cents.

Stock GM MLS gaskets have been known to work too...and at a fraction of the price of the competition. Circa 50thou thick.
