Default magnacharged TA running to hot?

When the car was stock it ran at 210 deg. . At the time of the magna install I pute in a 160 thermastat and it still ran at 208. I thought it was just the extra heat of the charger so I installed a Becool radiator and it still runs at 208deg. I am only running distilled water and waterwetter. Is this normal for a supercharger or could I have gotten a bad thermastat?.......and yes the coolant system was burped good........I think.

Traditionally Maggi Blowers are known for heat soaking, maybe you need a way to get the engine bay heat out, i.e. heat extractors.

Yes, thats going down the road in 85 deg. weather or 44 deg. weather. It doesn't matter the tempreture outside or if I'm sitting still or moving.

Have you verified this with a aftermarket guage or via a data logging software, no the dash guage

Ahhhh good point , I should have thought about it being the gauge since the oil pressure gauge doesn't work either.

the temp guage "worked" in the 98s, but lots of folks took their cars back to the dealers while seeing the normal swing of temp from the thermostat opening up. So, 99 and up have "dummy" guages that show a range of temps as a single value. As a response to dumb people, GM gave us a dumb guage

Deff check with a Secondary Gauge and ask Ed (or whomever tuned it) what your fan temps are set at. If your fans are set to a higher degree still that will also allow the higher temps.

I forget what the first fan is set at but I know the second is set to come on at 180. I also have a afco heat exchanger thats made for the ford lightnings mounted up front in the nose with two puller fans on it that blow alot of air across the radiator so I just don't see how the temps couldn't be better than the first setup.
