Hey guys just got my 402 done tell me what you think ...the set up is 78mm fast intake, 1 3/4 headers, true duels , stock maf, 30 lbs injectors , comp cam 247/254 duration 656/595 lift 110 lsa, 12 bolt w/4.56 gears ,m6 , all bolt ons . The car made 476 rwhp and 440 rwtq now that was dynoed with 100 mies on it so i know once the thing gets broken in it should free up some power ,and i still have more left there with the intake headers ect...looking for 500 plus when said and done ......thoughts..

mmhmm, on a m6 it should be kicking over 500 easy, What heads, and I would wager you need an upgrade of injectors and a fuel pump. I have a good friend that does about that hp on a th400, with a 5000+ stall. He is doing mid 10's I doubt your going to hit it. After the exp with his car. But GL!

Put a real cam and a ported Fast 90 on it. Mid 10's? How heavy is your car?

I'd suggest a FAST 90 vice the 78mm and step up to larger headers as well. JMHO.

car weighs 3000 lbs 12.2 to 1 comp..... on my head an cam set up putting 429 down i ran 11.3's at 123 mph ...ya ran out of money for the fuel pump and 90 mm intake ect..

Well, I'm not much of a tech, so I'm sitting here reading your setup going "They're gonna say upgrade the intake/tb (90/90), headers (1 7/8"), and fuel system because those supporting mods don't sound up to part with the stroker." After reading the few responses that have been posted so far, it's nice to see that all of this reading and research is paying off for me. :)

Yeah, keeping in mind how much is still being left on the table with those supporting mods, I'd be pretty happy with how the project is going. How the hell did you trap 123 with 429rwhp? That's sick. Was it a Mustang dyno?

Dynojet 248x chassis dynamometer....i'll look for my time slip i was 122.8 or .9 on a 28 in tire with the 4.56 gear and a face plated trans

i'm still running 1 3/4 tubes on my wheezer. still debating how much a 1 7/8 will actually pick it up n/a.i would hate to drop that kind of coin to realize my 1 3/4 wasn't restricting it as much as i thought. you definitely need a 90/90 though.

spring time for the intake.. I know the 12 bolt and big gear take some power away though

Well if your car leaves hard enough a 10 second pass isn't impossible, I am running a 402, times in my sig. Th400 car, 5000 n/a converter, 4.10 gear, et 240 head, eastside stroker hydraulic cam, fast 90/90, stock waterpump, stock maf, 1 3/4 headers with turndowns, and it runs 10.5 every trip to the track, 60 foot's in the 1.4

my 60 foots are in the 1.5 range ,now i just got a 2 step to dial in and with less weight i dont think 10's are impossible ....thanks for the possitive post :)

He said the car weighs 3000lbs that changes everything as he is on average 4o lbs lighter than the average f-body. That a solid .5 sec and 4mph.

who built the shortblock?

if the track works it will be an easy 10 sec car

since his previous track #'s posted he has removed over 150#'s from the car as well

what I would like to have seen, but money goes fast :)

ETP 245's
1 7/8 headers
3" true duals...has 2 1/2 " mufflers after the X now
FAST/NW 90/90 + porting
EWP

on the other hand I think the #'s are pretty good and as his budget permits we can move forward with supporting mods and dyno and track test each

hope the weather holds out man and we can rock it Sunday:nod:

You can just go with a budget combo like the l92/l76.
