Does anyone out there know if you can run an LSx block in superstock as a 350 small block, thats not a GT class or in a new age f body?.. I have a 1969 camaro that i wanto run SS/FA or something along those lines, but im not sure if i can build an LSx block to fit into that class or do i need the Gen 1 350 small block..

I thought it had to be a motor that originally came in the car for that same year?

I mean if not how would you run a 15* head in a 23* originally equipped motor?

To run SS/FA you have to run the factory 350 combination. You can run an LSX motor in the GT classes if the motor is in the classification guide. You would have to run fuel injection. If you want to run a carb you could run one of the modified classes.

Good Luck,

Daren

If you are seriously looking to build a Super Stock car you can get good advice on classracer.com. You may also find a good deal on a used Super Stock motor. Expect to pay $20,000+ to have one built.
