Default Firebird/Camaro radio in other car?

I want to put a cd player out of a camaro or firebird in my 94 corvette. Will I be able to hook it up and get it to work? I plan to get an amp and aftermarket speakers to hook up to the head unit. Is this possible? My original plan was to get one out of a C5, but they seem to communicate with other pieces of electronics in the car and won't work.

Thanks

are you talking with the amp, or without. without the amp it would sound like crap. plus you would need to make sure you have the right speakers to match the ohms.

yes this will work, an aftermarket amp would be a huge plus. a monsoon radio from a camaro will work just fyi

basically within physical restraints, any radio will work in almost any car as long as you have the male plug that goes in the back of that radio with bare wires that could wire it accordingly. other electronics working properly as well as matching factory amps to that head unit is really where the problem lies.
