Default fuel tank ground wire?

yet another total newb question. trying to put the fuel tank back in. we snapped the ground wire at the connection when we removed the tank so what i'm wondering is can i just ground the ground wire on the frame rail or i mean somewhere else?

I would guess another good ground would be fine, but why not hook it back up?

i couldn't get the crimp off. it looks like one of those crimps that slide on, so i thought it would slide out; it wouldn't budge and i thought maybe it's just old and stubborn. cleaned it off with some wd40 and tried again...no go. come to find out that it was welded on there.

i cut out a chunk of that metal and then put a new crimp around that one and soldered the two together. so it now connects to the ground wire properly. i'm just really particular about putting connections back where i found them, but some people say a ground is a ground and others say that that's not always the case.

appreciate the response man, promise i'm not trying to annoy people with my newbishness! lol
