Default What is a good clutch for my LS1?

I am in need of a new clutch for my LS1 Formula in my sig. I will need something that will support about 450 RWHP or so. I'm not really interested in the MCloud, or Textrelia clutches, as I have heard too many horror stories behind them.

Does anyone know if a Z06 clutch is a good idea? I am not sure, but I think I need an LS2 flywheel to go with it to make it work.

Any info or suggestions with prices are welcome.

I am running the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch and freaking love it, I had a spec 3 before and I wasn't to fond of it. As you can see in my sig I am over 450HP and that clutch has handled anything I can throw at it.

Does it drive like its an On or Off switch? Or is it pretty driver friendly? Also, what was the price?

With the cam I have it is actually very driver friendly, I think it was around $450-$475, not 100% sure but around there.

Will it work with the stock LS1 flywheel? Or will I need to get a specific flywheel to make it work in my car? Anything else I need to know about running it that I might need to get?

I am still using my stock flywheel, since I did the clutch I went ahead and changed my slave and master cylinder too. Kinda like added insurance.

well at least you have those 2 things done. At least you didn't find out while you were on the road, I was 4 hours from my house after visiting my parents and my Spec 3 took a ****, luckly my parents towed me home so I could change it out.

Thanks for the input, and I'll keep the Centerforce in mind.

Anyone else have a clutch they reccomend? (either to stay away from or go with)
