New to the family!
I used to be known as 8banger around here when I had my black '99 Z, which I sold in February. After taking a break from LSX's, I decided that I needed a GTO already, so I got one, an '06 A4, 11k miles, with stock chrome 18's and Sports Appearance Package. So far it's bone stock, but that's only until the UPS guy gets here.
Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to my fellow GTO brethren.
Your local Chicago LS2 GTO owner,
Adam

I have Pacesetters, an underdrive pulley, CAI, and a stall coming. Not sure if I'll install the headers, might just want to keep a stealth attack for a while.

That's what I'm hoping for. My Z had all kinds of weight reduction, drag suspension, and all kinds of **** done, and I wanted to keep this one as more of a street/commuting car that can haul ***** at the track. I think i will be satisfied.

I put Kooks LTs w/cats+ Xpipe on my 05 GTO and kept the stock pipes and mufflers after the X pipe. It is not loud at all but it runs pretty good (A4 w/3000 stall). Congrats on getting a goat.

Congrats and welcome!!
How do ya feel the LS2 GTO A4 compares to your '99 Z28? Which one you think would win in a race? I've heard some F-Bod owners say when they were stock they would get pulled only slightly on top end by the LS2.

My god, I think stock for stock, my GTO would tear my old Z apart. The Z was nice, but it only had 2.73's. It might help that my goat has the SAP exhaust, which was actually a catback manufactured for GM by Magnaflow. Or it could be the LS2 and slightly better tranny too.
