Looks awesome. This car is goin to make me very poor. Will there be any interfacing issues with the Displacement on Demand feature? Also it says LS2 motor in the info but the G8 is getting a different motor correct? Same displacement but pretty much different right? The name of the new motor escapes me at the moment.

Top-notch setup, as usual from APS. That Aussie nose looks killer, what do they call that particular model/trim there?

If I'm not mistaken that is a HSV GTS with an LS2 so the numbers are not going to be the exact same as the G8 with the L98.

In Aust, the base Commodore (G8) has a 365 HP engine whereas the HSV has the 400 HP LS2 engine, hope that helps,

Peter...

Do you have any estimates on what this would produce on our version here in the states?? I would guess it would have similar results. Jeez you guys out there never seem to stop pushing the bar foward. I still remember when I had what seemed like APS everything for my Subaru. I'm glad I'll be able to do the same with any of GM's performance platforms. Hopefully the bring the Ute over as an El Camino and then I'll definately be checking in with ya. But I guess if not, then the G8 will suit me just fine hahah....

Does this keep the cats? Where are the cats if it keeps them? The twin turbo system deletes the stock cats though I recommend a set of high flow cats if you want a quiter/cleaner engine. :D

The power output for the US twin turbo G8 will be around 550 rwhp on 93 octane fuel and around 525 rwhp on 91 octane fuel.

SmittyI've been told that the Holden 6 litre V8 ute will be exported to the US though I am not sure in what time frame.

Hope that helps,

Thanks on the info... I figured it'd be about the same/few hp less, but in the LS based world, we all know that slight figure is always a cam/head change away in the GM parts bin. Well I guess I'll be waiting on a 6spd Ute then heheheh. Hmm maybe I should just invest in the kit now and leave it in the garage till that bad boy gets here hahah. Jeez too bad I couldn't install that kit in a 6.0 64' Nova, now that'd be something....

Thanks again Peter,
Smitty.

With how quick the boost comes on I bet that car is a blast to drive. It's certainly a very quick 4 door sedan, with decent rubber I expect it would trap at around 130 MPH. :D

You probably know it better as the VE Commodore Sport Wagon. Supposedly, both it and the Ute will eventually be coming to the states as G8 offerings. Link to the Holden website. http://www.vecommodoresportwagon.com.au/

Peter,

Would there be any issues with the turbo placement on a daily driver? Just wondering about water splashing on the turbo housings when driving on wet roads.

Peter,

Would there be any issues with the turbo placement on a daily driver? Just wondering about water splashing on the turbo housings when driving on wet roads. No problem at all on wet roads so far. Our twin turbo engineering teat car has completed a full winter of road testing and I've even diven through flooded roads at low speed (around 10 inches of water) without any issue.

Thanks,

Peter
