I have hawk HPS now, i get lots of dust, and they don't hold the car at the line very well, and don't seem to brake well when cold
the main reason i would get these pads is for the "cold" performance. I need more holding power so i can stall the car up more when staged without rolling.
any info would help, i searched but couldn't find any thread on the yellow pads
basically i need better grip when stage so i can stall my higher. even 300 RPM would help a great deal

Maybe upgrading to Z06 brakes? Or LS1 daul pistons?
And try and get more heat into the pads befor you stage or drive the car
give it a coupe hard brakes, or ride them a lil bit

I can't drive the car around to get them warm if I'm in the staging lane for an hour

The front are dual pistons and unless your talking C6 Zo6 there wouldnt be much difference..

The Yellows are a competition type pad and not good for street driving as they require heat in them to perform right. I'd get greens or Hawk HPS pads.
Unfortunately brake pads are a lot like cams. Many bite off more than they need in a hope for better performance and some times regret it later.

I used the hawk HPS pads( those are the 80 dollar street/strip pads right?)
I used the EBC yellowstuff now, they seem to bite a bit better, I havent noticed slippage if they were cold..
but I see more dust than Hawk and more brake noise thank Hawks. Unless I just never noticed with the hawks..
Anyways, Im a 2002 z28 though..

I use the Greenstuff pads with slotted rotors and it works great!

HPS should work fine in the cold, this doesn't make much sense. Yellow's probably won't be any better sense they are more a race pad than HPS even though they claim to have a decent cold bite.
