Default ATAP - "Attempting Communications" repeating

When the screen comes up with all my parameters that I chose to log I get this message repeatedly. It does it even if I am logging or not. The connections are all tight, etc, any ideas?

You may have an intermittant connection in one of the cables; I'd try different ones. They're just generic 9 pin serial cables that you can pick up cheap at any computer store.

Thanks, I'll try that. However, I think it only does it with my car, not my other two brother's F-bodies.

Comm port settings?

Fuse...the OBDII port and cigarette lighter are on the same fuse.

Common problem with autotap (not dos) at least on my car (and a ton of other people). Switched to efilive and it no longer does it, all the same hardware.

If it's just your car, try inspecting/cleaning the DLC.
