how does a subwoofer sound in the trunk of the 04 to 06 GTO with the gas tank between the seats and trunk?

i've got a friend with a single pioneer premier 12 and it doesnt sound bad. i was expecting less with the gas tank issue, but it wasnt bad.

I just installed 2 12" subs in an 04 GTO and it sounded great. However, you can upgrade the rear deck subs with a something able to handle more power and then adjust the stock amp. The stock amp is set at about half power to the deck subs and does have a gain adjustment. This is a conservative setting and with a nice aftermarket sub would be able to be turned up. It really just depends on how much bass your looking for.
