Default how much for a rearend

so i just picked up a 93 z28 to play around with and the first thing on my list of stuff that needs to be fixed is the rear diff. can anyone give me a ballpark estimate on how much i need to save to have someone rebuild it. i'm going to keep it totally stock so please no info on swaps.

You looking to include a good set of new gears? If so I'd say probably somewhere around a total of about 400-600(gears, bearings, seals, fluid, and install). Thats going with aftermarket gears...gm gears will be over that much alone.

if you do a rear gear swap, I wouldnt expect to walk away less then 500$, if it invovles a diff swap add that to the price.

Most times your 1/3 to 1/2 way to the price of a 12 bolt.
