Default 255 MT radials or 275? not spinning even on street tires HELP

well im not spinning on street tires cutting mid 1.9's. but im looking at some 17' rear rims just for the track tat are real cheap. should i go to the the 275s or just get the 255s 16's? mostly stock just dont want to make a mistake.

the smaller the better if you can hook on 235 DRs then go for it, thats just less weight and less rolling resistance therefore youll be faster

oh and get 15" rims if you can, more sidewall = more traction. 17s are heavy

I'd run a 15x10 with a 275 60 15, will fit with 0 rubbing problems with the right back space.

Just saw a video of a 7 second 1/4 mile pass made on that same size rim and tire

I don't know how you can not spin street tires? Are you saying that you can feather the throttle to prevent the tires spinning? or are you saying your can not spin street tires?

DRs will allow you to launch at a higher rpm and not spin. So yes, they will still be beneficial.

well i can spin them on the street for a while on a luanch but on the track it just hooks, but from what i hear mid 1.9 60s arnt bad. but i honestly just puch it on green, soo maybe a lil feather ???

so your runing a auto? try and hold the car back with the brake to the point that your about to one move out of the lights or two brake traction and then on launch let go brake stomp the gass. That and a stall will help alot. But if your not spinning I would just keep running them.
