Question Anyone have a 2008 Powerstroke?

Just curious, I haven't found much info/feedback from actual owners on these trucks. I'm considering getting back into a diesel, those F-450s look sweet.

Anyone have good or bad luck with the 2008+?

Coach has a '08 King Ranch. It's been a good truck so far, but it still gets horrid gas mileage (avg is like 13.2). The only thing is right now Diesel prices are basically highway robbery. I think the other night he paid $3.29 a gallon at the Valero on Sunset.

13 mpg sucks for a diesel. My '04 Dodge dually got 19, the '06 Dodge 4x4 got 17

we have 4 that have about 30k on them we had nothing but bad luck with them just like the junk 6.0 the new 6.4 cant be touched so forget about program or exhaust for them they have to stay stock or they will have nothing but trouble. we installed a k&n filter in one and it killed the truck. and trust me there is nothing you can touch on them with out the dealer knowing you did. they look nice but are still junk.

A lot of it is city driving though, but he doesn't hot rod the truck. I don't know why the mileage sucks. I use to get ~18-20 on the freeway in the Duramax.

The Nav. is bad *** in them though.

I have heard the same thing from some friends who are techs. Not too mention they have to take the cab off to work on anything significant. Not a huge deal ,but you will be without it longer on each repair and can add up $$$ once it is out of warranty.

We have done 4 F-450's with the SCT Livewire Extreem Box. Picked up 4 MPG's even on the extreem setting! The SCT box really wakes up the trucks.

I'm not ruling out the other brand trucks, just don't have much feedback on these. Jeff, that new d-max looks nice! How much lift and what size tires are those? Looks like beck & masten in the background.

our Grandfather has had one for awhile. F-350 Fx4 King Ranch. Was getting around 17-18. Absolutely loves it.

He is yet to have a problem with it.

Its just a 6" procomp with 20" kmc/badlands & 35" toyo's. The torsion bars are not cranked for a nice sweet comfort ride. Here is a link for the GM fans!!!

Good read. This turns me off bigtime though:

Most surprising, though, was the Power Stroke's (lack of) performance in the Ford F-350. Out of the box this truck weighed about 1,000-pounds more than the Dodge or Chevy rigs.

I've got a friend w/ an 08 F-250 and he really likes it. He had 2 or 3 F-250s in the past and he said this one is his best one yet...whatever that means.
He said it feels as fast stock as his previous one (06) did with a tune.
I know the interior is pimp!

This link cannot be right!!! Where is the Tundra??? I see it on TV it is the best thing since sliced bread. You can tie a 40,000 pound container on it and throw the container off a cliff and it can pull it back up!!! I know I seen it on TV

Plus, a fat hillbilly says if it didn't do the job, he "wouldn't-ah bought it". Also, if that farm lady's grandpa was still alive he'd drive a Tundra.

Tony,

Just get a damn Dodge Mega Cab Laramie CTD 4x4 and put a 6" lift, 20's and some 37's on it.
