Some of you may know and some not, but DF has left Hotrod and started a website. It's still in it's beginning stages but looks to be very promising. http://carjunkietv.com check it out.

That's interesting. If I remember correctly, wasn't Dave partially responsible for making the Power Tour happen? I know in the past few years it's been growing into more of a commercial event, but didn't he as well as a few others start it back in the day?
I wonder if they will begin a new mobile car show. Isn't Chad Reynolds one of the MC's / Co-hosts from the Power Tours as well? It could be interesting.

That shouldn't have any effect on your mag showing up.

His editorials started sounding more disgruntled with the hobby here in recent issues....probably a sign that he wasn't happy with the mag. Just my guess though...

Guys, thanks for the mention and the nice words. I didn't leave because I was disgruntled with the hobby at all. Editing HRM is obviously a great position to hold, and I was proud of Power Tour, Pump Gas Drags, and especially Drag Week. But I was also working myself into the ground being in charge of 7 mags and several one-shot publications, and I was given a new online opportunity for something that should be really big and different. It's my hope that I'll be able to spend even more time actually enjoying and reporting on the hobby. I'll be able to race more, too.
It's all spelled out on our forums. The full site won't be active for a while as we design it plus build technology and content. The direct link to our forums is www.carjunkieforums.com.

Good luck with your new endeavor. Always thought highly of your work with HRM and the events that HRM started. Thanks for the autographing my photo with you on the power tour at Perry, Georgia in 06..:thumb:

I just wonder where he can keep all the project cars in the LA area, very expensive to get storage I'm thinking.

I am sure the the editor or now the exeditor of Hot Rod Magazine knows a few people in the hobby/business plus I am sure he was paid very well for his job.
