Here we go again. You gave us one piece of information that has no connection with wastegate size. Wonderful.

I'd use dual TiAL 60mm units if I were you. At least we know they won't be too small.

Want real help? Engine size, engine mods, redline RPM, approximate HP on boost, max boost levels to ever be used, etc. Give us something to work with minus "I have this turbo."

I wouldn't go any smaller than a 46mm just because you'll have boost spikes since something smaller won't be able to bleed enough air out fast enough..

Hey Fiero, seriously what's up with being so condescending?? Didn't you get banned a while ago for being a jerk and throwing your infinite knowledge of POS's around?? You don't have to be an *** about everything... We're here to help and I understand about people needing to give more information but try to be a little more tactful about it..

With a 408 and 12psi you don't need anything monsterous. The big cubes help since you won't bypass as much exhaust as lets say a 346. Anything 50mm-60mm will work fine. Even the Turbosmart 48 will do the job.

Could you please elaborate on why a larger motor would not bypass as much exhaust as a smaller motor? I was under the impression the larger motor would need to bypass more exhaust than the smaller motor? It is indeed putting out more exhaust than the smaller motor????

That's alright, we all learn somewhere, but with the huge variety of builds on this forum, from very mild to what was NHRA top fuels in the 90s, every car needs something different.

You'll have a pretty potent setup. I'd honestly go for a 60mm unit, I know TiAL makes a very nice 60mm. A 46-48mm might be sufficient, but there's only one way to find out, and that way could end in disaster. And if you go too big, it won't hurt anything.

As for where to find one, as always you can't go wrong with a site sponsor, but I urge you to check eBay first. If you find a new, never used, name brand wastegate, you can get a top quality unit for very cheap. I got my TiAL 38mm for about 2/3 of wholesale from someone who bought it, then never needed it. But if there are none on eBay, I'd go with a sponsor.

I disagree. The big cubes will mean even more exhaust volume, and at the relatively low boost levels, he is going to need to bypass quite a bit of exhaust. I'll agree on the wastegate size, but by all means a 50-60mm wastegate isn't small!

I have one Tial 44mm gate on a 381 inch motor and ran it with an 88 and a 91. Low boost wasn't a concern of mine so i put a 14psi spring in it and it would run at 18psi of boost, without the boost controler. Wastegate placement plays a big role in controling boost.

I also run the turbosmart 48mm. Works like a champ at low boost too.

Dan, you're going to be running a decent amount of boost though too buddy. 46mm will be fine, **** even a 38mm. Only reason to go big is if you're running low boost and a ton of exhaust volume that you need to bypass to avoid creep.
