Default harness w vats and fuel pump switch won't come on

I sent the harness of to be converted to work with the vats. Everything else works on the motor except the fuel pump won't come on with the harness. I can run a hot wire to it and it works fine however. The fuel pump wire is directly off the vats and that is how it was when finished from the wiring shop. thnks for help

The harness is out of a 99 TA. And there is no pwer coming off the pump switch before the relay.

that doesn't sound right. The fuel pump relay control wire should go directly to pin 9 on the red connector (99 F-body PCM). It is a dk/grn wire.

If you are not getting 12v on that wire when you turn the key on,it can be any of three things
1. The wire is not connected to the correct pin on the PCM
2.The wire is broken somewhere between the PCM and relay.
3. PCM is shot

based on what you wrote above I think option 1. is most likely the problem.

Remember VATS has nothing to do with the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay, it involves injector pulse deactivation.
