Default billet grill

I just got my car back from a car accident. The body shop (great shop actually) installed the grill over the black insert of the bumper. I thought the grill was installed in replacement of black insert.
Any advice...?
thanks

really!
The way it looks now though does not look good. It sits to far out though. If one removes the black insert it gets installed on that inner recessed part of the bumper? That looks better I think.
So it can be either, I've never seen it done this way. maybe because it can be done but dont look good LOL
thanks

Rip the old one out and screw the new one in

yea...my body shop did not read the instructions that came with it. Installed on top it looks awful.
Having it done where it sits sort of recessed in the bumper.
