oil pressure sending unit??

Default oil pressure sending unit??

Hey guys im new here but i have been reading these forums for a while i have a 2000 trans am and i recently bought a mech. oil pressure gauge. well my problem is i cant locat the oil pressure sending unit i heard its in the back of the block right behind the intake and well how do i get to it?? do i have to pull the intake?? any suggestions would be much appreciated thanks.

If you are sitting in the drivers seat of your car it will will be on the in the left rear top corner of the block. You don't have to remove the intake but it will be alot easier with everything out of the way

i took it off when i did my manifold swap. it's sitting RIGHT THERE when you have your manifold off. like said, it's back right corner ( driver side). it's a little bigger then the car cig lighter, just so you have an idea on what to look/feel for

thanx guys but i also heard theres another way to hook up the gauge there is a hook up right above the oil filter i think i am going to try that and if it does not work ill try the sending unit.
